La Grange

Living Area :

The sitting room with comfortable furniture arranged around a feature stone fireplace, has TV, Video, DVD and music system. Large French doors open onto the South facing patio with remote controlled awning providing shade for al-fresco meals on the tettace and keeping the living area cool in the heat of the day.

Kitchen :

The large modern kitchen is fully fitted with fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher and microwav oven and is equipped with all modern conveniences. The spacious dining area has a table and chairs for 8 people.

There are two sets of French doors, each opening onto tiled patio areas giving a choice of sunny or shaded outdoor eating.

Bedrooms :

Two bright spacious double bedrooms with king sized beds (one with an extra single bed) on the first floor and a third bedroom at ground floor level with two single beds. All bedrooms are very comfortably furnished with full wardrobes etc.

Bathrooms :

There are three bath/shower rooms all fully tiled and fitted to a very high standard. Two provide spacious en suite facilities for the double bedrooms. One has a hydro massage shower, wash hand basin and toilet. The other has a bath and separate shower, twin wash hand basins and an independent toilet. hairdryer for your convenience.

On the ground floor, accessed from the hallway and adjacent to the downstairs bedroom is a shower room with wash hand basin and toilet.

Mezzanine :

Bright open reading area has comfortable seating arranged around a coffee table. There is a selection of books and games for adults and children.

Grounds :

The house is surrounded by gardens and lawns with many mature trees. Both back and front terraces have dining table and chairs. There is a table tennis table and badminton set. The whole property is enclosed by a laurel hedge for added privacy.

Pool :

The pool 11m x 5m has steps and a deep end.There is a solar powered shower and the large paved terrace has sun loungers, parasols and easy chairs.

Laundry :

The separate laundry room is fully equipped with washing machine, drying and ironing facilities, loads of work surface and storage space.

Features :

Beautiful old exposed beams, golden stone walls and tiled or hardwood floors throughout. Wonderful view across the countryside to the village of Loupiac below.

Facilities :

Phone, central heating and firewood.
Bed linen, towels and pooltowels are included and all changed midway through a two week stay. Wheelchair friendly, with all living areas, bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, easilt accessed from the paved terraces.

Locality :

The house is situated in a quiet hamlet with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.
Located in the Dordogne Valley between Sarlat and Rocamadour and a short drive from the Paris/Toulouse motorway guests are ideally located for visiting the many attractions in the area; e.g. Gouffre de Padirac, Grottes de la Cave, Rocamadour and sarlat,local markets, the many chateaux of the Dordogne valley and the vineyards of Cahors and Bergerac.etc.

Travel Details :

By air : The nearest airports are at Bergerac, Limoges and Rodez, all a 1.5 hour drive away. Airports at Bordeaux and Toulouse are 2 hours away. All major car hire companies operate from these airports.

By rail : The nearest rail station, in Souillac ( 8 miles away ) is on the Paris/Toulouse main line.

By road : From Paris, Limoges or Toulouse take exit 55 from the A20 motorway and proceed via Souillac to the property.
From Bordeaux take the A89 motorway as far as Brive and then take the A20 motorway, direction Toulouse, as far as exit 55 and proceed to the property via Souillac.
